The Arts Society Isle of Man

The Arts Society Isle of Man changed its name from The Isle of Man Decorative and Fine Arts Society on 20th June 2017. We are a member society of The Arts Society which itself changed its name from the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies following a rebranding launched on 17th May 2017.

The Arts Society is a leading arts education charity with a global network of 385 local Societies, which bring people together through a shared curiosity for the arts. Our 90,000+ members contribute to and preserve our artistic heritage through volunteering and grants.

Our society was formed in 1996 by an enthusiastic group who laid the foundation for a successful and popular local society. As a member you will receive The Arts Society Review, a national magazine printed quarterly and concessionary entry rates to some national heritage sites and museums. Membership costs £50 per annum.

Our annual programme runs from September to June, offering 10 lectures on a wide variety of arts related subjects. Lecturers are selected from The Arts Society directory of speakers and are chosen for their expertise and their ability to entertain and inform.

Lectures take place at the Manx Museum Lecture Theatre in Douglas, at 11.30 am on the 3rd Tuesday of the month.

In addition to the monthly lectures we also:

Community & Young Arts
